I usually spend 15 to 25 minutes when talking to my candidates about how they do their IELTS review or when doing Speaking practices.

What are the most common mistakes you observe that candidates can improve on?
Their common mistakes include doing self-corrections, not using correct verb tenses, and using too many fillers (ah, uhm).

IPA Name: Karen Merueña

On average, how much time do you spend coaching a candidate per session?

I allot at least 20-30 mins to talk to my candidates about IELTS. Sessions would involve Speaking practices as that’s the sub-test candidates normally have a difficulty on.

What are the most common mistakes you observe that candidates can improve on?

Most candidates need a review of the basics, like Subject-Verb agreement and Tenses. Once they get a better hold of those things, it would be easier for them to deliver their ideas and form cohesive sentences.

Your words of encouragement:

IELTS is just a test and should not be feared. You just need to develop self-discipline and be all in! Consistency is key, so make sure that you are reviewing every day until your test date.
