As I stepped in and dedicated myself in the healthcare field, I carried with me the ideal from my favorite author Mitch Albom:

“Sacrifice is a part of life. It’s supposed to be. It’s not something to regret. It’s something to aspire to. Little sacrifices. Big sacrifices. That’s the thing. Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you’re not really losing it. You’re just passing it onto someone else. You lost something, but you gained something as well. You just don’t know that yet.”

We just show up to work everyday, even on weekends and holidays to wilfully and passionately share a portion of our expertise and contribute to the wellbeing of the society so others may live, expecting nothing in return. For me that is enough.
